The Waggoner's Visit the DMZ

Sunday, January 4, 2009

Well, I had to sit this adventure out...I was going to go, but I chickened out. Not that I was frightened by the DMZ, nope. Scared to leave my wee one with her father! Daddy was all ready to give it a go, but I just couldn't do it. If Bekah took a bottle better or we had tried something else as a test-run (something that didn't require me to get on a bus for an entire day with no way to get back early!), maybe I could've done it. My family was okay with making the trip by themselves, and I just felt like they should see it. If you're coming to South Korea, then you do the DMZ...I am really looking forward to it, but I'll stop rambling & just share the pics for my mom's sake. That way, all the family back in the states can see they really were here & got to do some cool stuff! They were really happy they did it. AND, they got some cool souvenirs, so you can't beat that!

Not sure about all the details, you'll have to wait until I go for that...

Well worth the trip. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go or not but I was really glad I did. Thought the tunnel was going to kill me but I survived! The walk back up was tough. Ben came back down to check on me! The office here wanted to see my picture with the "scary" guy. Told them I couldn't do it. The trip is a great history lesson. Mom
