We went to the lake with the Degels ... it was fun. Abby hates sand, but as long as Daddy held her in the water or she was on the towel, all was well.

We had so much fun visiting with Christopher, Amanda, Conner, and Avery ... oh, and don't forget Quincy & Chandler. We definitely realized it would be fun to live closer to these guys! They were good sports & put us up for quite a few nights. The food, drink & company was great and we look forward to doing it again! Come see us in IL! :)

Another fun thing about Judy & Jim's ... there is a river that Abby could throw things into -- just rocks & sticks, people. Their home was absolutely beautiful & they even have a cute little guest cottage. It was so much fun that we got to stop by and see them!

Oh my ... who was happier? Brad or Abby? Daddy couldn't believe that they still had Lady & Abby was so excited to see a horse! Abby's ride didn't last long, but it was memorable!

Our Camper

We stayed in an AF camper ... it was really very nice & spacious. We had a great time. Abby almost slept in the bottom bunk bed, but finally asked for her bed (pack n play). The only weird thing was that it stayed light until about 10 p.m.

Abby picked out a bison ... very appropriate for our trip to Yellostone. Here is the nice lady stuffing him. Very Build-a-Bear-ish, but it was only $12 with a birth certificate & house -- we did skip the outfit. :)

Here's where we ate lunch after our hike ... very beautiful! A lady here told us that someone died at this spot last year leaning out to take a picture. Nice. Notice how Mommy is leaning away from the ledge??

On the way down ...

We decided to walk down to the bottom of the waterfall & Abby wanted to hike instead of ride. I can't tell you how many stairs were on the side of this mountain. All I can tell you is that Mommy had a panic attack on the way back up the stairs. Mommy is not good with heights.

Bison Hienie...

First off, it's not easy to find the proper spelling to hienie. This is the one that came up the most -- also was hiney. They both look wrong to me. ANYHOW, this is one of Abby's favorite pictures from our trip to Yellowstone. There was a bison right by the road ... I mean, RIGHT by our car. SO, Brad has me right next to him. A fly comes in and starts irritating the bison ... Brad jerks the car (as to not hit the bison -- apparently this is frowned upon for many reasons) & then I freak out jerking the camera. Fun times. That is how Abby got a picture of the hienie & finds it really funny. :)

For those of you that know Abby, you know this is a big deal. She is pretty girly, so digging around in the dirt is not a common occurrence. It was very cute ... while Mommy cooked dinner, Daddy & Abby built us a smores fire!

FREE Ice Cream

Abby gets more free stuff than anyone I have ever met. She wanted the 'strawberry cheesecake' because it had the word cake in it. :) Mommy wanted the coconut because she had heard how wonderful it was, but she wasn't selfish & let Abby get the other one!
